Helping Milwaukee County Children – Parishioner Eagle Scout Project

Holy Family Parish, Are you interested in Helping Milwaukee County Children?

My name is Robert Schaaf and I am a parishioner currently working on my Eagle Scout Project with Wisconsin Child Protective Services of Milwaukee County. The beneficiaries of my Eagle Scout Project are an underserved population of abused and/or neglected teenage boys between the ages of 15-19 years old who are removed from their homes for safety reasons.The goal of my project is to provide “We Got Your Back” overnight bags to young men in these emergency situations. We need your help to purchase supplies.

We Got Your Back” kits will provide a change of clothes to include: a pair of shorts, t-shirt, underwear, and a pair of socks, as well as hygiene products such as: a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, comb, a book, a journal and pen.

Please join me next weekend to learn more;

  • Sunday, August 4th following the 10:30PM Mass join me in the vestibule to meet Whitefish Bay resident and Wisconsin Child Protective Services representative Mrs. Brittany Vandenlangenberg.
  • Saturday, August 3 and Sunday, August 4th after all Masses join me in the vestibule to see a sample of the “We Got Your Back” kits and a discussion of my Eagle Scout Project.
  • A Human Concerns envelope marked “Eagle Scout Project “We Got Your Back” will be available in all pews to collect your donations, beginning Saturday July 27th and continuing thru Sunday August 4th.

Contributions of any amount are welcome and appreciated. Please make all checks payable to Holy Family Parish and note on the “For” line, Robert Schaaf’s Eagle Project.

I would really appreciate your support and ask for your prayers for all neglected and abused children. If you have any questions please contact Robert Schaaf at (843) 998-0299. Thank you.
